Navayuga to implement Integrated Port Operating System (POS) for Cochin Port Trust

Cochin Port Trust (CPT) has awarded the work for Supply, Customization, Implementation and Maintenance of Integrated Port Operating System (POS) to Navayuga Infotech. The maintenance contract will be for a period of 5 years post the implementation of the solution.

Cochin Port, an all-weather natural port, is the major port in India strategically located near the international sea routes, being only 11 nautical miles from the Gulf to Singapore route and 76 nautical miles from the Suez Canal – Far East route. The port is governed by the Cochin Port Trust (CPT), a government of India establishment. It was established in 1928 and has completed 90 years of active service. The port handles bulk, liquid and container cargo.

The Integrated Port Operating System will help Cochin Port Trust improve the efficiency of complete port operations. The implementation will be executed in 2 phases. Phase 1 activities will include provisioning of core modules including Marine, Cargo, CFS and Billing operations enabled with PCR, EDI and SAP integrations. Phase 2 scope will include Online Berthing, Mobile Application, Customer Portal, RFID Integration and Dashboard Implementation.

Navayuga will provision and customize PortKonnect, its flagship product for the Maritime domain, to meet CPT’s requirement for an Integrated Port Operating System (POS). PortKonnect, an end to end Port Management System, is already being used across major ports in the world including Durban, Cape Town, Krishnapatnam etc. and is currently under implementation for the Dubai ports under the administration of Dubai Customs.
